At our clinic in Colchester we provide diagnostic assessments of autism spectrum conditions. Our experienced clinicians use standardised assessment tools recommended by the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE). We strive to provide the highest quality of service with our client’s and referrer’s needs central to what we do.
We provide specialist multi-disciplinary assessments for children from aged two years, adolescents and adults. We are experienced in assessing people with complex presentations. For example, many of our clients have comorbid ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder), executive function problems, sensory processing disorder, Irlens Syndrome (visual stress), dyslexia, intellectual or learning disabilities, mental health problems and genetic syndromes. We specialise in assessing girls and women, and people who are ‘high functioning’ (of average intelligence and above) who have learned to “mask” their symptoms. We are also trained and experienced in assessing and diagnosing comorbid Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) alongside an assessment of autism spectrum disorder.
Many people with ASD also have attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). If you or your child are showing signs of ADHD, our clinicians are trained to carry out an additional screening as part of your assessment package.
